Welcome to Project Men Unmasked

Project Men Unmasked is a transformative initiative focused on fostering a safe and supportive community for men. We envision a world where men from all walks of life are empowered to lead fulfilling lives, free from the stigma surrounding mental health. In this world, men thrive in a supportive community that nurtures their emotional well-being, fosters genuine connection, and cultivates love, resilience, and self-acceptance.

Our programs aim to break down stigmas, promote open conversations, and encourage men to share their experiences.

Our Programs

  • The Brotherhood Campaign is at the heart of Project Men Unmasked. This initiative encourages men to come together, share their stories, and build meaningful connections. Through a series of engaging online content. From roundtable discussions to short social media videos. We aim to cultivate camaraderie and support among participants. The campaign focuses on fostering an environment where vulnerability is seen as strength, helping men develop a sense of belonging and purpose.

  • Our “Safe Spaces” are an event series that creates a welcoming environment where men can express themselves freely without judgment. These gatherings feature moderated discussions, interactive workshops, and inspiring keynote speakers led by experienced facilitators. Participants have the opportunity to explore topics related to mental health, wellness, and personal development, all while connecting with others who share similar experiences. Our aim is to empower men to engage openly and honestly, fostering a culture of support and understanding.

Firecracker Bullets - Film by our Founder

In this personal documentary, Indigenous comedian Chad Charlie goes to participate in the Standing Rock occupation and has a transformative experience. The film takes us on Charlie’s powerful passage of self-discovery, from the irreverent jokester to the culturally aware poet whose powerful spoken word piece encapsulates his realizations at the close of the film. In this blend of cinema, vlog, and social media with tons of humour, Charlie uses a real mix of formats (phone streaming, news footage, fly-on-the-wall documentary style) very effectively, and doesn’t try to work in a huge narrative or have a tidy conclusion. Like many who were there and endured violence by police against their peaceful marches, Charlie is still working through trauma and mental health issues he experienced from it. In his case, this journey has left him with a greater awareness of the ongoing injustices that Indigenous people must still contend with.

Mission & vision

Vision Statement:

We envision a world where men from all walks of life are empowered to lead fulfilling lives, free from the stigma surrounding mental health. In this world, men thrive in a supportive community that nurtures their emotional well-being, fosters genuine connection, and cultivates love, resilience, and self-acceptance.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to drastically reduce the rates of suicide, substance abuse, and violence among men by providing transformative support. We achieve this through a comprehensive approach, offering both in-person and virtual educational programs, interactive wellness workshops, and fostering a strong, inclusive community. By breaking the silence surrounding men’s mental health, we aim to equip men with the tools to navigate life's challenges, build deeper connections, and grow into their best selves—mentally, emotionally, and physically. Together, we are creating a culture where seeking help is a strength and every man knows he is never alone..
